Coincidences in history, Mostly the historians whether religious or non-religious think of history as something which has its own mode and certain flow and if they noted an event out of this causation, they intentionally and willingly put such an event under the law of causality and try to give the history in some certain colours. They, in fact, make the history wear their own given clothes. Looking the history this much determined and bounded must have risen from their own sense of order which they try to apply upon every event including such as that of a chaotic.
Coincidences in History and Humans in The World from Past to Now
I think always to draw order out of chaos is not a researched-based behaviour but a psychological weakness. Many such examples of this weakness are shown in the statements like “History repeats itself”, ”Only the righteous people will survive”, “History always betters itself”, “Socialism is the ultimate point of capitalism”, “The Second-Coming will save the world ultimately”, “Survival of the fittest is the only law that occupies history”, “History moves on a straight line”, “History moves upward in a spiral”, “History is a fight between two classes”, “History refutes itself”. In the ultimate right, in Second-Coming, in the victory of the lower class, in the survival of the fittest, in the straight line and refute but I see that he has the same hammer in his hand singing the same song all the time so what if he keeps many names for.
They feel history is decided. They made the decision and they did. History is like a machine and the law of cause and effect will, at last, save them because it has saved them already; many times! And the coincidences! Coincidences are chaotic, rough and uncertain; they snatch their surety and hope. It snatches their cosmic optimism, it never let them live in heaven and therefore, they are avoided.
Coincidences in History
Coincidence in History, This is the psychological weakness which my opponent carries. I think coincidences had a great role to turn the flow of history whether that proved to be positive or negative for the people. Who knew that the love of Cleopatra would make Antony break the 2nd Triumvirate with Octavian which would at last result into the war of Actium, a defeat of Antony, the suicide of both Cleopatra and Antony and would make Pascal introduce the hypothesis of Cleopatra’s nose? And who knew that the inability of Turkish Sultan Bayezid-I to attack central Europe would make Edward Gibbon say that if Bayezid did not suffer from gout, he would have conquered central Europe and would become the cause of misfortune of millions?
Who knew that if King Alexander had not died of a monkey bite, the Greco-Turkish war launched by his father would have been avoided, it was this event that made Sir Winston Churchill said that it was a monkey bite that caused the death of those two hundred fifty thousand (250,000) people. Who knew that if Leon Trotsky had not contacted a cold during duck-hunting. He would not have missed a crucial Politburo meeting in 1923 and he would not pronounce that the revolutions and great changes of the world are predictable but the results coming out of duck hunting cannot be predicted. So who knew that these accidents would turn the flow of history many times?
Coincidences in Human History
If we cannot predict coincidences, it does not mean that we should avoid its role. We know that these are the coincidences that have prevented human beings to know fully the nature of history. I think people must be scientific in the development of their views. And they must not be in a hurry to draw their conclusions.
They must know that coincidences and uncertainties are always waiting for them. They must know that human civilization is just in its childhood. It is just crippling to know the nature of its history. it just knows that it knows nothing. People should not live with the pride of 19th-century mechanism. History is not a machine neither we are its parts.
